For crores of farmers across the country, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) remains a major pillar of support and hope.

Under this central scheme, every eligible farmer receives ₹6,000 per year in three equal installments to help manage essential farming expenses. However, many farmers are now left wondering — why hasn’t the next PM Kisan installment arrived yet?

Typically, installments are distributed in the periods of April–June, August–November, and December–March. But this time, there has been no sign of payment in July, raising serious concerns among farming families. They are questioning whether there’s an issue with their documents or if any rules of the scheme have been changed.

PM Kisan Yojana 2025: What’s causing the delay?

The PM Kisan Yojana is one of the most impactful welfare schemes by the Indian Government for small and marginal farmers. As of now, 19 installments have already been disbursed, and farmers are now eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of ₹2000.

According to media reports and government insiders, the 20th installment could be credited in the third or fourth week of July, potentially around 18th or 19th July. But there has been no official announcement regarding the final date, and several farmers still haven’t received the payment.

This uncertainty is causing anxiety in farming communities, especially since no installment was credited in June either.

What’s causing delays in the payment?

There are several reasons why farmers might not receive their payment on time:

• Errors or mismatches in documents and bank details
• e-KYC not completed
• Mistakes in Aadhaar-Bank linking
• Issues with IFSC codes or name mismatches
• Land ownership or revenue record discrepancies

Many such issues were reported in previous installments too, where funds were withheld due to technical or verification errors.

Who is eligible for PM Kisan Yojana?

To receive the benefits of this scheme, a farmer must meet the following criteria:

• The applicant should own agricultural land and be classified as a small or marginal farmer.
• Neither the farmer nor any family member should be an income tax payer, a government employee, or receive a pension above ₹10,000 per month.
• Professionals such as doctors, engineers, and chartered accountants are not eligible.
• Proper documentation including land records, Aadhaar card, and bank account details must be submitted.

How to check if your name is on the beneficiary list?

To know your status and confirm if your installment is due:

1. Visit the official PM Kisan website.
2. Click on “Know Your Status” or “Beneficiary Status”.
3. Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, or registration ID.
4. Complete OTP verification.
5. You’ll see whether your name is on the list, when the last installment was credited, and if any error is blocking the new payment.
